Hi all --

I've got a problem with the app system and can't imagine for a second I'm the only one with this.

We have two Administrators working on the app. Those two administrators can do everything, develop, test, etc.

Now we are wanting to admit two testers. We've invited them, set them as testers in the "Manage Users" bit of the app's basic profile. They are showing as "Pending".

But...
- The testers go to their Facebook developer app, which says 'Confirm'.
- They click confirm, nothing happens.
- A reload of the developer app page and the prompt has disappeared but they still show as 'Pending' in the app's basic profile form my point-of-view as an administrator.
- If they try to access the app, it 404's.

One tester is using Opera, one tester is using Firefox.

Any ideas please, anyone?

Thanks

Joel.

I have exactly the same Problem. Please Help!

Yes, still pending. Deleting the tester and re-inviting them gives the same results.

I work with Joel, and can confirm the problem. We've tried now from several IP addresses, same result.

We're due to go to Closed Beta on a game in a little over a week. Not being able to invite Testers to it might...somewhat impair that process.

Is this something that is being looked at?

I've been experiencing this issue as well.

On the administrator side, we can add somebody as an admin/dev/tester, which sets the invited users status to 'pending'.

A notification pops up on the account with 2 options, 'confirm' and 'ignore'.  Once confirm is clicked, on network settings it sends an ajax request to 'reqs.php', however there is no response and nothing happens.

This has been happening since yesterday.  Anyone else have any luck trying to add somebody to their application?

Still problems with this - been trying with a few folks on a few different apps. Annoying....

Still broken, doesn't seem exclusive to this app either.

Hi Folks -

Forgive me if I'm off-base, but is the issue that the users aren't properly installing Developer App and then Confirming Tester Role?

As I understand it, it's not enough just to add a User as a Tester and then for them to Install the App - they aslo need to officially accept Tester Role which can only be done via Facebook Developer App.

The user should get an Invite in their Notifications (Earth Icon, upper left of FB account) which, when clicked, asks them to Install Developer. When Developer is installed the Confirm Tester option appears.

After that, all should be good.

Sorry for my english.
I have the same problem.
I add a tester, developer or administrator to my application.
With the invited account, I click on the notification,
I'm accessing Facebook Developer App : https://developers.facebook.com/apps?view=app_requests
It's not possible to accept the invitation so the application is unreachable.
Did someone find the solution ?

I think there is other issue also with it.

yachtsoxNew MemberRegistered: 2010-11-23Posts: 7

We're having the same issue, although some of us are able to accept the request, while others are experiencing the bug in the developer app.

It seems the users that are experiencing the bug are users that have only recently installed the developer app. I've had the developer app installed for a while and mine works fine.

I'm curious though, if you need to install the developer app, how come it doesn't show up in your privacy settings > app settings? Is there no way of uninstalling the developer app, or checking which permissions you've given it?

We have the same issue, sent invites to several users.

D:\Program

Users get the above message, but clicking "Developer request" just redirects them to the same page.

Edit: When the user created their own app, they were then able to accept the request.

Hi everyone,

I had the same problem and found that the testers must verify their Facebook account by adding a mobile phone or creditcard to it.  Hope that helps!

James

Bump. Doesn't work for me with verified accounts either.

We've been a FB developer for over 18 months. Something changed in the last few days to cause this problem. As of earlier this week, this problem did not happen and we could add developers just fine.

We have tried with Verified and non verified. And we've had people who used to be on the application as testers and not. For many of these people, they get the error that people have been posting in this thread.

There is clearly a FB problem with some accounts accepting Developer requests.

We also had problems last weekend with everybody who was on the FB Credits list got erased from our app. And it also looked like those who were pending and could play the game stopped being able to play the game.

I assume this has to do with the test user feature that they tried to deploy last week and then removed.

If you want to help FB get visibility on this problem - VOTE FOR THIS BUG:

I also have the same problem.

We have sent last monday some invitation to 4 testers. They are all still pending.

On their side, they can see the notification, but when they click on the link, the Developer App is empty.

If they click directly on the "application name", they can access the AuthorisationBox, and then they have a message "deny error".

I wonder if it is a problem with the DeveloperApp or with the tester function.

Can you help or give advise ?
Thanks

Try creating a blank app, that worked for us

That worked. Thanks for sharing.

For anyone still stuck: create a new app with the account which is pending approval. Call it "Blank" or whatever you like. Then go back to your Apps dashboard and you will be able to approve the stuck pending request.
