2.5 million Mau application got limited new posts feed

BartzyNew Memberlog: 2010-05-16 Posts: 7

Hello

Last time, Facebook has limited the ability of my application to attend a news feed of its users.
My application is not a bad thing, people love it (4.8 out of 5 stars).

How do I lift the restriction as soon as possible? It kills my application is very viral, not having the channel news feed kills him.

Thank you.
Bar.

U put a glass screen enter your insights and news section?

BartzyNew Memberlog: 2010-05-16 Posts: 7

Hey James,

Insights news feed section shows the application is 15th percentile reports the spam. But it's just that people share a lot of (their own), then they themselves remove it (cause they really believe tons of pictures of their wall).
I didn't much weight on this message 15th percentile, mainly because I knew so users remove some how stories ...

If you can get this functionality again, I will make sure to maintain very low spam ratio (allow each user to publish fewer stories).

Thank you!

It is true that u have the e-mail informing you on fb restriction.
As far as I can remember, have FB said what you have to do it in mail.

In the worst case, you can contact FB with form developer support

BartzyNew Memberlog: 2010-05-16 Posts: 7

Actually no, I didn't get all mail from Facebook.
Already tried to contact them using the support form.
This is very time sensitive matter, we're talking here about 2.5 meters Mao application.
Someone Facebook platform helped me.

Bartzy,

I can understand how you feel ... But still I have to say "you get really small chance at getting support from Facebook platform on a case by making a post here"

Takwing, thank you for your empathy ... And why even sent them a message using the contact form and hope it will be someone there soon.

FBML tabs not working?

AghullIs a member of theregistered: 2007-12-19 Posts: 22

There are several tabs on the legacy of FBML application and we find today that they are all empty. There is a current problem with FBML tabs?

AghullIs a member of theregistered: 2007-12-19 Posts: 22

Dig a little deeper, not * all * FBML applications affected, but these days, all hosted on Media Temple gridserver.com. This can be a DNS problem on Facebook?

Also strange that this only affects tabs, but not actual FBML canvas pages.

I tried to pass a new field to no avail. Still hosted gridserver, but only respond to different computers. Therefore, I think it's just a DNS issue with domain gridserver.

Thank you for opening the bug. I assumed this was a problem with the network very temporary but it affects all our FBML tabs on the network yet. Since I'm assuming that FBML, even once, this issue will take up to 24 hours for the cache of Facebook to refresh.

Is there a way to find out when a Facebook user's account?  I didn't see anything in the docs, but maybe someone here knows something?

Fake accounts become nuisance, we're looking at seriously restricting certain operations on accounts older than (say) a month.  If currently there is no way to do this, you can request a feature.

The easy way to spot spam accounts is that they have no friends. This is something that can see into your application.

I have no idea what Facebook allows users with friends don't write reviews, post on the discussion boards, etc. Have a minimum of 5 members before allowing people to do so must be the easiest way to reduce the amount of spam.

I think spam accounts are able to add themselves as members. A little more work.

Some users actually go to the table to make fake accounts and fake profile with pictures (?):-/

Not I, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are scripts that make it easy.

May I ask why you want to restrict access to the counterfeit bills? You have junk e-mail from within your application?

I usually have 2 types of fake accounts, that the reviews/discussion board spams, and published fake reviews to strengthen their reviews or artificially bump down. Spam now accounts are spamming in applications?

From my experience are now junk spam accounts within applications.  I am beginning to see them use accounts for service or products.

There is no way to report these kind of accounts unfortunately.

Not much in spam, surprisingly, but some people make fake accounts to try to game the system (fake votes, for example).  I suspect that some games applications face similar challenges.  We have a number of measures to minimize it, but the creation date of the account would be one additional tool, we can use.

I suspect people have created fake account "game" of my game.  :-S not sure on how I can prevent this ... Other than wait for Facebook to catch it on their side.

Yes, but see the amount of users on Facebook, the chances of the DAU Dang Facebook alternately throwing and catching them before any damage is done.

Fortunately I moderate ... The majority of submissions made within my application as I am dealing with real money, but in theory I should ... That there is no way for me to really discover how legit this account, since simple tools such as IP checks, checks the cookie, they are just not possible.

We face a similar problem with men, using the newly created Facebook accounts access to video applications. You must guess the clothes, they "wear".

-The button "report" with the count of database is not a solution since most users try the button and ban other accidentally
-Count the closest friends. Unfortunately, some of these guys has 50 + members.

Any idea how to get rid of them?
